MIDDLEWOOD LOCKS FEST 2026!
The community gathered in our wonderful canal-side neighbourhood for our third Middlewood Locks Fest!
Wow, what fun we had at Middlewood Locks Fest!! To celebrate our 10th anniversary at Middlewood Locks and Salford City’s Centenary, we brought together the community with an action-packed programme of events! The neighbourhood was absolutely buzzing with music and laughter as everyone danced and sang along with the live bands, street performances and DJ’s.
COMMUNITY
It was so wonderful to see so many people come and join in with the celebrations at our free family-friendly community festival. This year was our third year, and we definitely marked the occasion with live performances from the incredible Spark Drummers, Batala and local musicians, and banging tunes from our special line-up of DJ’s, wonderful artisan crafts and plants on sale in our makers-market, so many fun activities for families to enjoy including water rafted canoes on the canal, face painting, making bunting, screen printing, games and lots of crafting!!
WAGON TRAIN STAGE!
We also had a guest appearance from the ‘Wagon Train’ stage, which has been attending all of the city-wide events as part of Salford City Council’s centenary celebrations.
